Vision and Elections

The next regular ministerial meeting will be held at St. James the less Church, 1760 Rothesay Road at 10:30 AM May 24th.

The purpose of the meeting will be to elect a new Executive and to hold a time of Visioning for the Year to come.

We have asked two people to help us with the Visioning process.   One will lead us in a process of prayer while the other helps us discern our goals and how we might get there.

Put this on your date book/device/calander now so that you can be sure to be there.    For the sake of the Kingdom and the City we share!

If there are further nominations please send them along to one of the current executive members as soon as possible.

Lunch will be provided.

Nominations are open

We are closing in on the end of another year of fellowship and ministry together.   It was a Joy to participate with so many at our Good Friday Service held at FGA this year.

In preparation for the next year we are asking you to nominate individuals that can give the best possible representation to the body of Christ in the Greater Saint John Region.   At our recent executive meeting we had a deep discussion of our role in the city and we all agreed that we want to really connect with everything that is happening in and through the body of Christ in the city.   Our hearts are to be a ministry that connects, encourages, prays and sends.

Would you please take some time to pray right now and within the next seven days send us a reply by email:   eric@renforth.net  or give one of the members of the executive a call with the names of people who you feel would do the very best job in the year to come.    Please respond prior to the 25th of April.     We really do desire your input.   If we don’t hear from you then we will be left on our own and we do not want to limit ourselves in that fashion.

Thanks so much for your participation and input this year.

An international event worth noting

I recieved this from my associates in Alpha international. The video is worth watching for inspiration

Dear Eric

I do hope all is well with you. I am writing to you from my travels in the US to ask you a huge favour.

The Leadership Conference at the Royal Albert Hall in London on the 14th and 15th May is the biggest event of its kind that HTB has ever put on. I believe it is going to be an historic occasion for everyone involved and it would be wonderful if our National Alpha Offices and your key contacts in your country were well represented and at the heart of this occasion.

Further details of the conference and speakers can be seen on the website at:  http://leadershipconference.htb.org.uk/   and I would be so grateful if you were willing to watch the 2 minutes 30 seconds DVD that appears at the top right of the webpage and forward it to all of your senior church leaders and contacts in your country who you think might be interested in attending this fantastic event.

To take advantage of the early bird rate, please book in before midnight on Monday 19th March, 2012.  Please note there are special group rates for parties of four, 10 and 20 or more.

Lots of love
Tricia

Good friday service
Make plans now and communicate to your congregations to join us on Good Friday at Full Gospel Assembly at 2:00. Lindsey Burt, Ed Coleman, Dan Lamos, Eric Phinney, Edward Powell, and Shawna Rogers will be sharing the message. This year we are taking a very different approach with the message. Dan will be hosting an interview style segment that will focus on the various perspectivs around the cross and the death of Jesus. We have workshoped this and are all personally very excited about it. We will be offering a time for personal prayer and commissioning. We ask you to make this a point of prayer in all churches this Sunday.

Help replenish our coffers.

Membership in the ministerial also includes a fee that is paid annually. We encourage you to send this along now, if you have not paid anything for the 2011-2012 year. We use these funds to pay proper honourariums to those who we invite to address us and inspire good ministry in the city. We are suggesting a fee of $50 per year for a Church or Ministry and $25 per year for an individual. Please check the list below to see if you have sent along a fee in the last year.

Name Change

Hi everyone,
We wanted to inform you all of the change in our community name from Rothesay Vineyard to KV Vineyard. Through 2011, our community was in an important stage in an ongoing stage of transition. We we’re led by the Lord to examine our story. We gathered information from people throughout our 25 years and what we saw were some damaging repeating patterns. This process led to acts of repentance at individual and congregational level, as well as asking forgiveness from groups and individuals  where this was necessary. Although there were many positive things from our life that we wanted to take forward with us, in many ways our community had been characterised by the very things we were repenting of. With this in mind, we felt led to change the name of our community. In a sense, our building wasn’t in Rothesay anyway, and as the majority of our community is based in the valley we opted for Kennebecasis Valley Vineyard, or KV Vineyard. The legalities were completed on this at the end of December. We ask for your prayers and blessing as we continue to seek the Lord as we move forward.

Many thanks
Jon Hallewell
Pastor, KV Vineyard.
